A one time consultation or, if needed, ongoing coaching will help you determine if the challenges you are experiencing are typical for your child’s age and stage of development and find new ways to respond to your child’s communications. If further professional evaluation or support is needed, I will help you connect with other providers.

A typical session includes an initial period of observation of interactions between you and your infant or toddler and conversation about what you need. Additionally, I will offer suggestions, coach you through various activities and help you determine what your next steps should be. During an initial session, it is helpful to ensure that other children are not present. At times, it may be helpful to video interactions and then review them together. I will tailor each session to meet your needs and ensure that you feel comfortable. Multiple caregivers are welcome to participate in the session. The goal is to make everyday more joyful for the whole family.

Bringing Baby Home Workshops

I am certified by the Gottman Institute to teach this 12 hour course for new and expecting parents. Please contact me if you are interested in attending or hosting an event.

Bringing Baby Home is an educational program for pregnant couples and families with children up to three years of age. It was designed and created by relationship experts, Drs. John and Julie Gottman, at The Relationship Research Institute in Seattle, Washington. The goal of the program is to improve the quality of life for babies and children by strengthening the parental relationship.
